and targeted ads for passport covers, we're building something different.

As Ani advised on the literal 17th question that month about work immigration from her friends, she wondered, “when will this end?”. And as she complained on a call with Alex about how she’d become the patron saint of work visas, she realized it could end now.
After being unable to find a company that was full-time dedicated to tech-enabled immigration, Landed was created. This is the obvious intersection of her professional experience in government tech, her lived immigrant experiences, her degrees in globalization, and her never-before-used-ability to speak multiple languages.
Ani’s also built & scaled from 0 to 1 (and 1 to 100) repeatedly. She needs to always be (literally) on the run and doing something productive.

Alex’s journey started with his own permanent residency process. Having worked for a startup-turned-multinational company, he was no stranger to visa applications. But filing for permanent residency was a different story - detailing every country he worked (and worked remotely) in was both difficult and came with a side of some significant immigration implications. With little guidance online, he considered asking a lawyer, until he found that asking even a single question can cost thousands of dollars.
After seeing firsthand how hard it was to navigate his own immigration processes alone, he knew there had to be a smarter, simpler way. With his experience scaling startups, a knack for product development, and a mild obsession with streamlining clunky systems, Landed was born.
