  • Who can apply?: Applicable to anyone from visa-exempt countries

  • Duration: 6 months (renewable)

  • Cost: $230-300 USD

💰 Requirements

  • $10k per month for at least 6 months

  • If you’re between 20-29 – $20-40k

  • If you’re over 30 – >$40k

  • (Submit 10 days before current stay expires) to BOCA or MOFA offices

    • Although the official language of Taiwan is Mandarin, people will often also speak either Taiwanese (outside of Taipei) and English (inside of the cities)

    • It is very humid, with hot summers and temperate winters. Snow only occurs on the mountains.

    • There's a ton to do if you enjoy cities and nature, with mountains, city and outdoor hikes, beaches, museums, markets, and temples.

    • Transit is excellent - both the inner city subway systems and the country-wide high speed rails are well-signed and easy-to-use.
